Stucco Painting & Repair Sunshine Coast, QLD

Stucco Painters Sunshine Coast, QLD

Looking for stucco painters in Sunshine Coast?

When it comes to painting stucco, we prefer to paint with exterior flat latex or stucco coat, one full coat followed by another full coat 3 or 4 hours later. Which is my understanding of what two coats of paint means?

Some of the other painting companies out there like to use Elastomeric Coatings which when applied properly by your stucco painter is a good system.

We are consistently rated one of the top three painting companies in Sunshine Coast. We take pride in our work and it shows. Call us today for a free estimate!

Painters Sunshine Coast is professional, reasonable, reliable, and has been painting for over 6 years. Our painters are fully licensed and covered by WCB. We also have access to color consultants to make sure your color selections for your exterior stucco painting are what you have in mind and works with the balance of the colors of the house. It is just as important to us as it is to you to have the house looking good when we are done.

What Our Sunshine Coast Stucco Painters will do:

Confirm colors and area for each color.
Carefully pull back shrubs, bushes, and flower beds and cover with plastic prior to painting house surfaces.
We take all precautions to avoid trampling flower beds.
Cover concrete, grass, & all other areas not being painted with drop cloths.
We start the work by doing the agreed on preparation on exterior stucco surfaces being painted.
The foreman will inspect the exterior painting with the customer (if home) while the other painters start cleaning up.
Once the exterior is complete we will give you several days to look around and will then arrange inspection and touch ups before final payment.

Just like most interior and exterior walls, a stucco can or will be subjected to surface damage. Although the blight may be minor in nature, it can be distracting and even disturb to the property owner because it is on the outer facing or an exposed corner and is therefore visible to any and all occupants, tenants, clients, passersby, etc.

Furthermore, if left unrepaired, minor stucco damage can develop into a major issue rather quickly, leading to potentially expensive wall repair or restoration costs. To avoid such an unwanted and unwelcomed situation, Painters Sunshine Coast offers the experience and skill to perform stucco repairs swiftly and efficiently, with minimal inconvenience/disruption for the property owner and for any visitors/patrons.

There are a number of reasons why stucco finish coats may need some repair, including but not limited to:

Peeling or crumbling
Staining/smoke damage
Chipped/damaged corners
Separation from the sub-layers
Efflorescence (crystal/salt deposits)

Causes of Stucco Damage

Because of the sandy/soil area, building foundations tend to shift leading to settling cracks.
Water and storm damage is another common.
Additions and exterior wall changes are another common projects for us.
Accidents happen, and when they do, impact damage takes its toll on stucco.
Caulking failure or improper flashing resulting in water damage.

Our Process:

Cutting out a circle or square around the damaged area
Applying a base coat and a finish coat under proper conditions.

With respect to corner damage, one alternative may be the installation of quoins or overlays that resemble concrete blocks. These quoins are placed directly over top the corner, offering a less expensive route of repair – it should be noted that, for aesthetic purposes, matching overlays should be installed on the opposite corner of the wall even though it may not have sustained any damage.
